After having my UltraSwing on the back of my 18 tacoma for some time now i really can recommend this product to anyone looking for a tire carrier that isn't sure if they want an aftermarket rear bumper. the compression latch really does make the ultraswing rattle/wobble free which i was not sold on at first, but it has held up amazing. the ultraswing w/ the hitch extension works amazing for me because i often haul bikes around when im on the trail, and everyday life and can still retain a full size spare. lower hitch retains a rear recovery point and with Rago/RigD Mounts you can add front runner tables, hilift jacks, or even a GP Factor maxtrax mount. ultraswing is an awesome addition to any rig that is looking for a full size tire carrier!
Great product and even greater customer service. Install was quick and easy. I've had the Ultraswing on my car for about 3 months and its a quality item. Only change I made was tack welding the nuts onto the multi-plate to make removing the spare a bit easier.
I was looking for a tire carrier option that didn't required a rear bumper but I didn't want t a wobbly carrier. After stumbling accross Rigd Ultraswing and learning about their product, I didn't hesitate. Both the product and the service are top notch!
For those that don’t want the extra weight with the hefty price tag of a rear bumper the Ultraswing the best option hands down. This is coming from someone who used to have a similar product from a different company. When I came to test fit this on my Gx I was blown away by the craftsmanship and attention to detail. There’s less of a gap between the hatch and carrier, the tire is angled and the plate is removable to fit up larger sized tires up to 37” I believe. Once the test fitting was over and my old carrier went back on I began to resent it, in face I hated looking at it. Flash forward a few months later I was finally able to purchase this bad boy and I couldn’t be happier. I definitely recommend this to others that want to carry a full sized spare without the extra weight or price of a full bumper.
The UltraSwing is rock solid! I’ve got mine on my 2008 FJ w/ stock hitch and it has been the best well loved piece of gear yet. My FJ is a thirsty one, many times the 4gal Rotopax I’m able to easily carry that’s mounted to it has saved me both on the trail and pavement a few times. I have recently ordered the new table/molle panel and can not wait to utilize that. (Hurry up December) The functionality and rock solid performance of this unit is unbelievable. I can honestly tell you after hundreds of miles on trail there has not been a single squeak, rattle or clunk from it. Customer service has been top notch and pretty much an instant reply all hours of the day or night. Love my UltraSwing and I’m confident you will to.
